
We specialise in integrating Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). Our training also covers trauma work, personality-level interventions, dissociation, and neurodiversity, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and their interactions with mental health. We also offer expertise in working with children, young people, and families.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) practitioner training
Introduction to DBT: (timings range from 2 hours online to half day or one day in person)
Putting DBT into your practice: (one or two days) for those who want to integrate DBT insights and strategies into their regular practice.
DBT knowledge and skills: (three or four days) covers all the DBT skills and strategies and modes of delivery including phone coaching, crisis calls and consult.
BPS Quality Mark DBT Practitioner Training
We offer BPS Quality Mark DBT practitioner training for organisations and groups of qualified mental health professionals. Training is suitable for NHS trusts, healthcare teams, social services and those in independent practice.
Training structure
- Online teaching: 9 days delivered in two modules, covering the DBT model, biosocial theory, assessment and treatment planning, behavioural analysis, dialectical strategies and mindfulness. *you can also use the above courses as building blocks towards these 9 days*
- Supervised practice: 7-month period with the support of an experienced clinician, managing your DBT case
- Skills group teaching: option to jointly facilitate an 8-week skills group module (mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness), supervised by a senior clinician; one 2-hour session per week for 8 weeks; shorter/equivalent experience accepted
- Casebook submission and knowledge exam with personalised feedback and supervision throughout
Successful completion leads to a DBT practitioner certificate (BPS approved).
